LSSH promotes Guidry, Leger; hires Bertrand

Ruth Guidry promoted to CNO, Christine Leger elevated to department manager, and Michael Bertrand joins the hospital as OR manager.

Ruth Guidry

Registered Nurse Ruth Guidry has been promoted to chief nursing officer for Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital. Guidry joined LSSH in 2004 and most recently was department manager of the patient care unit/housekeeping and dietary, a position now held by RN Christine Leger.

Guidry is responsible for coordinating nursing functions at the executive level and oversees the day-to-day operations of the facility.

Christine Leger

Leger, who joined LSSH in 2005 and has served as a charge nurse, is now responsible for the daily operations of assigned patient units. She maintains unit staffing and responds to personnel and process needs of the assigned unit. Additionally, she is responsible for the direction and oversight of the dietary department and environmental services.

Michael Bertrand

Also at the hospital, Michael Bertrand has come on board as the operating room manager. Bertrand, who has 13 years of experience in health care and management, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned patient units. He maintains unit staffing and responds to personnel and process needs of the assigned unit.
