Jay Castille has been hired as special projects manager for Southern Lifestyle Development.
Castille is supervising construction at job sites and managing vertical construction projects for the Lafayette-based development group.
Castille, who has experience as a residential and commercial builder, most recently worked as city manager for the city of Carencro and is on his third-term on the Lafayette City-Parish Council. While he serves on the council, he will not be working on job sites within the city-parish’s jurisdiction.
SLD has more than 40 active projects across Louisiana and Mississippi, including both mixed-used traditional neighborhood developments, like River Ranch and Sugar Mill Pond, and conventional subdivisions.
“2017 will be a record year for SLD for new construction,” SLD Chief Operating Officer Kevin Blanchard said in a press release announcing Castille's new position. “Having someone of Jay’s caliber and experience on the team will be important as our portfolio continues to grow.”
