Baton Rouge rapper pays tribute to Edwin Edwards

by Nathan Stubbs

Fresh out of a federal detention center, former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards now has a new job, with longtime friend Buddy Leach, and a new rap video, courtesy of Baton Rouge artist Young Kidd Kid.

Update: Karen Mire of Fox 44 is the author of "Edwin Edwards." She sent in the full lyrics:

EWE You ain't know thug dog/You in a halfway house
Back on the streets/Now you headed for the White House
Caught you in the cookie jar/ Slapped you real good
But you walked out without a doubt and headed for the hood
With your homies-those phonies couldn't keep you locked up
