Top notch bull riding at the 'Dome

On the roster of 40 riders listed to participate are the current standings leaders on the CINCH CBR Tour "Road To Cheyenne," including four world champions and four Louisiana cowboys, including Josh Barentine.

Legendary bull rider Tuff Hedeman, along with the rankest bulls and Championship Bull Riding roll into the Cajundome Saturday for the Silverado Slam Championship Bull Riding competition.

Also set to ride as long as they can are the world's top names in bull riding, according to a press release.

"We've never had a better group of riders in Louisiana ," says Hedeman, a four-time world champion and CBR president. "These guys are the best of the best right now. It's gonna be one heck of a night."

Gustavo Pedrero, who is currently number one in the CINCH standings, is a two-time champion from Mexico and right behind him is Luis Blanco from Brazil. Also in the arena will be 2010 CBR World Champion Luke Kelley and 2009 CBR World Champion Hugo Pedrero.

In addition, 2007 PRCA World Champion, Wesley Silcox will make an appearance and 2011 NFR contender, Ardie Maier has the Lafayette Championship in his sights.

The CINCH CBR Tour "Road to Cheyenne" is presented by the Super Chevy Dealers of Acadiana and 93.7 The Dawg. Kids 12 and under are admitted free.
