New date for Lt. Governor's Music Gala

Called the Lt. Governor's Music Gala, it is set for the James Devin Moncus Theater. Exact date and time have yet to be nailed down, but we'll keep you posted.

The Acadiana Center for the Arts and Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne's plan to celebrate Louisiana's finest cultural export our music - was postponed this past spring and has been moved to in early September, according to the ACA.

Called the Lt. Governor's Music Gala, it is set for the James Devin Moncus Theater. Exact date and time have yet to be nailed down, but we'll keep you posted.

The line-up includes Grammy winners and nominees from around the state, including Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, Rebirth Brass Band, Joel & Anne Savoy, the Magnolia Sisters, CC Adcock presenting songs from the TV series "True Blood," CJ Chenier, Chubby Carrier and many more.

This star-studded performance, highlighting the depth and spectrum of our state's music culture, will celebrate in style with an all-inclusive gala event featuring special awards, fine music, great cooking, cool drinks and hot entertainers.
