So that explains why Dickie Landry and Lost Bayou  Ramblers' Louis Michot and Andre Michot, instruments in hand, were hanging around that day at the fundraising concert for missing cyclist Mickey Shunick.

Dickie Landry (left) joins Givers at Parc International at the concert fundraiser for missing Lafayette cyclist Mickey Shunick May 27 (that also included Vagabond Swing) for the indie band's rendition of That Was Your Mother for the 25th anniversary of Paul Simon's classic Graceland album.

As one of the Givers noted during their performance for the Bring Mickey Home fundraiser Sunday, May 27, at Parc International, it would be the first time they'd performed That Was Your Mother in front of a live audience.

So that explains why Dickie Landry and Lost Bayou  Ramblers' Louis Michot and Andre Michot, instruments in hand, were hanging around that day.

But prior to that and in honor of Paul Simon's Graceland 25th anniversary, Rolling Stone magazine hooked up with indie artists to perform songs from the album. And Givers are one of them and you can check out the video here.

Givers' Josh LeBlanc, Taylor Guarisco and Tiffany Lamson are joined by Lost Bayou Ramblers Andre Michot, on accordion, and Louis Michot, on fiddle, as they perform That Was Your Mother - just like they did on a video project for Rolling Stone.
