Eww! Cameron beaches among most polluted

Constance Beach, Gulf Breeze, Little Florida, Long Beach and Rutherford Beach landed on the "Repeat Offenders" list for recurring problems with bacteria and other contaminants, exceeding EPA limits at least 25 percent of the year from 2007 to 2011.

Five beaches in southwest Louisiana are among the nastiest in the nation according to a new report by the Natural Resources Defense Council. In fact, they comprise half of the NRDC's list for beaches with the highest bacteria counts.

Constance Beach, Gulf Breeze, Little Florida, Long Beach and Rutherford Beach landed on the group's "Repeat Offenders" list for recurring problems with bacteria and other contaminants, exceeding EPA limits at least 25 percent of the year from 2007 to 2011.
