DTA! lineup revealed

The lineup for this fall's Downtown Alive! has just been released and features several ofSouth Louisiana's biggest talents.

The lineup for this fall's Downtown Alive! has just been released and features several of South Louisiana's biggest talents. The fall 2012 season also marks the 30th Anniversary of Downtown Alive!, which has gone from a handful of acts entertaining a crowd of music heads funneled into Parc de Lafayette and a few complementary stages to Acadiana's predominant  concert series bringing in an excess of patrons to fill both Parc International and Parc San Souci to kick off their weekend downtown.

The Fall season launches with renowned New Orleans jazz trumpeter and HBO's Treme personage Kermit Ruffins & the Barbeque Swingers beginning September 7. Other highlights this season are the UL Homecoming Pep Rally on October 5, the DTA! Edition of Festivals Acadiens et Creoles following on October 12 and the Lighting of the Official City Christmas Tree and Toys for Tots Drive concluding the season on November 21.
