Opelousas General Health System has named Mark Marley chief executive officer.
A Missouri native with more than two decades of executive-level experience, Marley began his work as OGHS CEO on Aug. 31, according to a release from the hospital.

A Missouri native with more than two decades of executive-level experience, Marley began his work as OGHS CEO on Aug. 31, according to a release from the hospital. He's replacing outgoing CEO Gary Keller, who is retiring after more than eight years of serving as OGHS's president and CEO. The hospital notes that Keller will remain on staff until Oct. 3 to oversee the transition.
The hospital system found Marley through a national search conducted by Quorum Health Resources.
Marley is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and also served on the Louisiana Hospital Association Board as both a member and past chairman.
He holds a bachelor's degree from Missouri State University and a master's in health care administration from Central Michigan University. Marley also received additional training through the Army National Guard via the Command and General Staff College in Kansas and the U.S. Army Academy of Health Sciences in Texas.
He most recently was CEO of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, where he spent 13 years as the medical center's top executive. Before that, Marley was CEO of North Central Ohio Health System, which owns multiple hospitals and related companies.
