Fast-growing auto dealer bringing the state's first "boutique" Cadillac store to Acadiana.
Courtesy Automotive Group is building a new Cadillac dealership next to Le Triomphe Golf and Country Club in Broussard. Courtesy says this will be the first "boutique" Cadillac store in the state.
"This move is part of our vision to redesign our group for the next generation," Courtesy owner Don Hargroder said in announcing the expansion. "We're also building state-of-the-art facilities in Abbeville, Breaux Bridge, Lafayette, Morgan City and Broussard to provide the ultimate buying experience for our customers."
The company press release offered no details on when construction would begin on the new U.S. Hwy. 90 facility, how big it will be and when it is scheduled to open. It's also unclear how this boutique facility will impact the auto dealers' two existing Cadillac dealerships; it has a store on Ambassador Caffery Parkway near the Mall of Acadiana and one on U.S. Hwy. 90 in New Iberia.
Courtesy Automotive Group has dealerships across the state of Louisiana. In addition to its two Cadillac stores, it sells GMC and Buick in Lafayette, Abbeville, New Iberia and Morgan City; Ford and Lincoln in Breaux Bridge; and Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram in St. Martinville.
For the past six years, Courtesy has been the No. 1 GM dealer in Louisiana, according to GM data.
The company, which had revenues of $298 million in 2011 (up from $223 million in 2010) and ranked No. 9 on ABiz's list of Acadiana's Top 50 Privately Held Companies, has more than 300 employees.
