Easy crafts that don't look too crafty

Pinterest has, in some ways, created some craft monsters. In fact, so ubiquitous are the failings of Pinterest that there is a site dedicated to the most tragic failings. What concerns us, however, are some of those crafty pieces that are a success. (You know the ones that look "great" but are far more kindergarten craft than grownup decor displays.) And so we were happy to find this super easy little craft that could work for any home and looks quite chic when done properly. Bonus: it requires by two items and two steps.

What you'll need:

a plate

a sharpie

How to:

1 - Write a clever something on the plate. (We're thinking a simple initial or monogram. A little something in French or Italian would also be a lovely touch.)

2 - Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Voila! (As a matter of fact, "voila" would make a cute little plate ...)
