Dish of the Day: Steve ‘n' Pat's shrimp poboy

When Steve and Patrick O'Bryan opened Steve n' Pat's Bon Temps Grill, they didn't want to do run-of-the-mill Cajun food - and this shrimp poboy is the epitome of that ideology. The poboy sandwiches cornflake-battered and deep-fried shrimp with spicy and creamy Sriracha mayo and jicama slaw, along with the standard lettuce and tomato. For $8.95, it is a filling lunch with easy access in Youngsville. The lunch menu is available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Though the poboy is not offered for dinner, the restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from until 9:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until 10 p.m.
