The Mercy Brothers headline the upcoming installment of Downtown Alive at Parc Sans Souci Friday.

The Mercy Brothers headline the upcoming installment of Downtown Alive at Parc Sans Souci Friday.

Celebrating its 30th season of free, outdoor concerts, DTA this week will be punctuated by the "hillbilly-gospel" of the Brothers, a band founded by Bluerunner Mark Meaux and Lafayette-to-Austin-back-to-Lafayette singer-songwriter Kevin Sekhani. The other brothers from different mothers are Greg Walls, the slow-smokin' co-owner of Johnson's Boucanière, along with Garland Theriot, Cal Stevenson and Andrew Duplantis.

DTA begins at 5:30 p.m. with concession sales. The music begins at 6 p.m. and runs until 8:30. DTA is supported by concession sales, so please leave the ice chests, kegs, bootleg whiskey and wine sacks at home. And pets. Don't bring pets. Or weapons.
