Make it a Double Date Sunday, Oct. 7, at Cochon

by Leslie Turk

Head over to Cochon on the Vermilion River this Sunday for a zydeco brunch featuring Double Date.

For its Sunday zydeco brunch (let's hope this beautiful weather stays around) from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cochon has $15 pitchers of mimosas, which serves about nine people, and a live band. This weekend, listen to the sounds of Double Date, featuring Joel Savoy, Kelli Jones-Savoy, Linzay Young and Emma Young. If you can't make it Oct. 7, catch Cat Head Biscuit Boys Oct. 14 or Cedric Watson and Friends Oct. 21.

While you enjoy the music and beautiful scenery on the Vermilion River, try the pulled pork benedict, served with cornbread and a smoked tomato hollandaise (the pork is slow cooked overnight for 12 hours at 200 degrees), or boudin sandwich, served with a farm egg, bib lettuce and pepper jelly vinaigrette.

Cochon is located at 921 Camellia Blvd.
