Do it yourself...Office Upgrade

Turn your ugly duckling office chair into a pretty little swan.

Turn your ugly duckling office chair into a pretty little swan.

Few pieces in the home are as long lasting and unsightly as the office chair. Usually of an industrial fabric that screams institution more than interior, the office chair can be an eyesore in an otherwise serene landscape of the home office. And so, we've decided to show you how to give it a face lift. No experts needed (although we did call on Brooks Dufrene of Gerilyn Lytal Roth Interiors to lend us a hand to ensure things were done properly).
Four simple items are needed to turn your office chair into something to envy. The bonus is that this DIY is so very simple you can do it again and again to match your mood. - AB

What you'll need:
Pliers
Scissors
Staple gun
fabric of choice

1. Using the pliers, remove old staples from the base of the chair.
2. Pull off original fabric and use as a pattern.
3. Staple new fabric over foam. Pull the fabric tight as you staple.
4. Repeat steps for top of chair.
