The Lab Handcrafted Coffee and Comforts is inviting area artists to create a design for its chalk wall. The Lab's first Design This Wall contest has officially opened.
The Lab's 144-inch-by-100-inch chalk wall needs some flair, and the shop is reaching out to its coffee lovers for help. The design must fit within the chalk wall's dimensions and chalk must be used in the final design. The Lab asks that each design incorporate "coffee, chocolates, tea, science, chemistry, molecular gastronomy, flavor profiles, local ingredients, baking and a social aspect" for at least 10 percent of the total design. The winning artwork will be on display for six to 12 months.
Entries are due by Nov. 14, and the winner will receive a $100 Lab gift card, $100 Visa gift card, $50 gift card to Jolie's and two lab T-shirts.
