Get spooked with UL symphony

The annual UL Lafayette Symphony Orchestra Halloween Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Angelle Hall auditorium.

The annual UL Lafayette Symphony Orchestra Halloween Concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Angelle Hall auditorium. Under the capable direction of Michael Blaney, the symphony focuses on mysterious and unsettling selections from the world of classical and popular music.

Selections for tonight's concert include musical highlights from James Bond, Raider of the Lost Arc, Danse Macabre and Prokofiev's Romeo & Juliet, in addition to a world-premiere performance of Eric Sharp's Renegade Convergence featuring dancers from the UL Performing Arts Department.

Admission in $8 for adults and free for those age 17 and younger and for UL students, faculty and staff with ID. Proceeds benefit the university's orchestra program. Call 482-6012 for details.
