Elliott marks vinyl release

by Walter Pierce

Caleb Elliott probably isn't old enough to remember when vinyl records were the standard, but he's celebrating the recent release of his new record with a special printing on 10-inch vinyl.

Vinyl, baby!

Caleb Elliott probably isn't old enough to remember when vinyl records were the standard, but he's celebrating the recent release of his new record, Where You Wanna Be, with a special printing on 10-inch vinyl. Devotees of the archaic music medium insist they sound warmer than CDs and MP3s. Maybe. Maybe not.

Either way, you can hear Caleb perform songs from the record and pick up vinyl copies of Where You Wanna Be during two solo acoustic performances this weekend: at 7 p.m. Friday at the Grapevine Café in Donaldsonville and, closer to home, at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Blue Dog Café here in Lafayette.
