The Blue Moon Saloon is hosting its own mini Franco fest this Saturday with a CD release party of En Francais 2: Cajun and Creole Rock and Roll in tandem with the fifth Piastres en Masse.

En Francais 2: Cajun and Creole Rock and Roll is a 13-track compilation of classic rock ballads orchestrated entirely in Cajun French. The album, produced by Lost Bayou Ramblers' Louis Michot, is a joint effort from the Arnaudville's Bayou Teche Brewing, Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission, Tony Chachere's Foods and Louisiana Entertainment and features several major players of Cajun and zydeco including Geno Delafose, Terrence Simien and BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet.

In honor of the album's release, FrancoJeunes will hold its next Piastres en Masse at the release party to encourage those attending to converse as much as possible in French. However, instead of asking participants at the cash mob to spend a set amount, this month's Piastres en Masse is asking that guests spend the money on the entry fee into the Blue Moon Saloon and of course that patrons purchase a copy of the album.

The En Français 2 CD Release Party / Piastres en Masse 5 will be held this Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Blue Moon Saloon beginning at 9 p.m. for $10. For more information, visit bluemoonpresents.com.
