Ice cream cool hues for frosty temps
I've always loved pastels in winter. Lavender pea coats, pink boucle skirts, silky mint blouses. And while bright bright hues have ruled from summer through fall and now into winter, colors of the more demure variety have appeared alongside them.
There's something a bit Jackie-O about it all. Pair pastel dresses with bouffants and flips that are totally retro. Pile on loads of pearls. And reach for a clutch.
We're loving the blush v-neck dress from Hemline. Perfect for that date night with some little booties. The pink and blue creation from Jewelie's is darling with the coordinating necklace, but we'd love a funky addition of another pastel accessory think mint green earrings or a lavender clutch.
The creamy heels from Shoe La La are the absolute perfect pair for the demure pastel look. Or a super neutral nude of the patent variety would be just the ticket. The top of my pastel list is certainly the gold and pink dress from Little Town. the perfect party dress. Add a pair of pearls or sparkling earrings and you'd have a look Jackie-O would envy.
