The monthly Piastres en Masse cash mob series will hold its sixth offering at Cajun Spice in downtown Lafayette this Saturday, Dec. 15.

The monthly Piastres en Masse cash mob series will hold its sixth offering at Cajun Spice in downtown Lafayette on Saturday, Dec. 15, to promote responsible French-speaking holiday shopping this season.

FrancoJeunes, who are coordinating the event, invites prospective shoppers to stop by Cajun Spice in downtown Lafayette to peruse its selection of acrylics, mosaics, clay sculptures, Acadiana-inspired T-shirts and other local art on sale at the Franco-friendly establishment. FrancoJeunes also asks that participants make a minimum purchase of $10 at Cajun Spice during Saturday's cash mob in order to help support this French-speaking business.

Cajun Spice's owner Melissa Dronet will be on hand along with members of FrancoJeunes to greet customers and conversate in French while serving wine and cheese on the shop's back deck.

Piastres en Masse takes place this Saturday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. 2 p.m., at Cajun Spice located at 535 Jefferson St. in downtown Lafayette. For more information on Piastres en Masse find them on Facebook.
