On the Move: Adam Chapman joins local landman co.

by Patrick Flanagan

Adam Chapman arrived in Lafayette about five years ago, and after working as an ad rep for one of the local newspapers, he has since made his mark on the local marketing scene, resulting in his recent hire by a local landman software company.

Lafayette-based iLandMan - a  lease acquisition and land management software firm - has hired Adam Chapman to help develop the company's brand and its national reach.

Adam Chapman

Chapman, 28, is a New Iberia native from a family with a long history in the newspaper business (his father is the publisher of The Daily Iberian). After graduating from LSU with a degree in business and marketing, Chapman got his start as an ad rep with The Daily Advertiser, and after three years in sales, took a position as a brand developer for the local marketing agency The Russo Group. Chapman also sits on the board of the705; Young Leaders for a Better Acadiana and is one of the organizers of the group's monthly Social Media Breakfast.

iLandMan President Tim Supple says Chapman will help bring the company to the national stage, adding, "Adam's experience with advertising and marketing will help us more effectively tell the story of iLandMan and how it can save landmen and brokerage firms time and money."

For Chapman, joining iLandMan is a natural next step in his professional evolution, and his role with the company, he says, will be multi-focused.

"I'll be covering a little bit of everything, similar to what I was doing with the branding agency," Chapman tells ABiz. "I'll be managing the brand itself, from what it looks like to what it feels like. My big focus will be working on our digital presence on the Web, and cleaning up all our social media pages and platforms."
