Say it ain't so, but it appears that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will be rooting for Atlanta in Sunday's NFC conference championship game against the San Francisco 49ers. At least, that's what we can divine from what he told CBS Sports this week:

"I think you want your division to do well when they face other teams, in this phase more so than in the regular season," Brees said Monday. So, obviously, a lot of Saints fans can't stand San Fran. But Atlanta has been our most bitter rival, especially since the Saints and Falcons started competing for bragging rights in the NFC South.

The thought of the Falcons playing in the Super Bowl in the Superdome - not to mention (but we will) Falcons fans partying in OUR French Quarter - is nauseating.
