Oscar style shines

by Amanda Bedgood

Stars run the gamut of style on the red carpet

The Oscars are kind of our Super Bowl - the fashion lovers. And this year the ladies who love the stage didn't disappoint. There were a few surprises and a few who fell somewhat flat. None of our biggest style crushes made huge faux pas and this IND Styler's newest style crushes really killed it - Jennifer Lawrence in Dior and Jessica Chastain in Armani Prive.

If there was a color of the night it was white. Spring arrived early in pale pale dresses like Anne Hathaway's Prada, which we didn't die for despite how dearly we often love her look. Queen Latifah was gorgeous in Badgley Mishka.

Charlize Theron was perfection in white Dior. The picture of modern yet feminine with a super subtle peplum shape. She kept it clean in the way of styling and she looked fully the part of swan she always is.

Jessica Chastain is a serious style crush after her recent run on red carpets during award season. She was an absolute golden goddess in her Armani Prive. Naomi Watts was also a shimmering sight and quite incredible in her Armani Prive gunmetal dress.

Olivia Munn was a surprise of the night in her Marchesa. With a flair of regal and a clear influence of the historical variety oft seen in the style house, Munn stole the show.

But, the winner of the night was certainly Jennifer Lawrence. The Silver Linings Playbook star floated in her Dior dress proving that she deserves her status as the style star to watch.
