BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The Louisiana Food Processors Conference is planned for March 13-14 in Baton Rouge.

John Finley, head of the LSU AgCenter department of food science, said the industry represents a major economic sector for Louisiana with significant growth potential.

Several presentations will focus on foods and obesity and diabetes, and others will address using local ingredients and marketing through social media.
