Acadiana 365 has you covered for the weekend with Downtown Alive!, ArTech Fusion 13 and "Shotgun."

Here are some highlights plucked from the pages of Acadiana 635 to help fill up your weekend.

DOWNTOWN ALIVE! WITH THE ORIGINAL PINETTES

Downtown Alive! begins its spring season of free outdoor concerts with the world's only all female brass band The Original Pinettes. The nine-piece New Orleans ensemble will bring their energetic brass-band style to Parc International tonight starting at 6 p.m. Concessions from local vendors, which help keep Downtown Alive! free, will be available at Parc International starting at 5:30 p.m. For more details visit downtownlafayette.org.

ArTech Fusion 13

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette's College of the Arts is teaming up with Acadiana Center for the Arts to present ArTech Fusion 13, tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the AcA. As its name implies, the event aims to present art infused with technology and also serves as the opening night for UL's Festival of the Arts. Faculty and students as well as other members of the local artistic community will be presenting dance, poetry, film and animation, and of course music. The evening will also see Ray McIntyre, Jr., of Pixel Magic, receiving the SPARK Lifetime Achievement Award as well as a raffle for the UL Department of Visual Arts Portfolio. Tickets for the event are $5 for UL students, $10 for UL faculty and $20 for the general public and are available by calling the College of the Arts at 337-482-6224 or online at artechfusion13.eventbrite.com.

AUI presents Shotgun

Showtimes are 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, and 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10. Tickets are $10 and are available by calling 337-484-0172, online at shotgun.eventbrite.com or at the Theatre 810 box office.
