Casa Azul Gifts holds a special screening of the independent documentary Tarzan: Lord of the Louisiana Jungle.

Tonight, Casa Azul Gifts in Grand Coteau is holding a special screening of the Louisiana independent documentary Tarzan: Lord of the Louisiana Jungle.

The film takes an in-depth look at the filming of the 1918 film Tarzan of the Apes, based on Edgar Rice Burroughs classic novel, which was filmed near Morgan City.

The film is the product of father-daughter filmmaking duo Al Bohl and Alison Bohl Dehart who spent three years researching film, pictures and documents detailing the movie's production. Director Alison Bohl Dehart will also be on hand after the screening for a Q & A session.

This free community event is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday, March 19, starting at 7 p.m. at Casa Azul Gifts located at 232 ML King Drive in Grand Coteau. For more details call 337-662-1032 or visit FestivalofWords.org.
