Party Girl goes on the scene for the 28th annual Acadiana Culinary Classic and the annual Mad Hatter's Luncheon.

Eight hundred of Lafayette's food lovers convened in the Cajundome Convention Center for the 28th annual Acadiana Culinary Classic, a fundraiser for Lafayette nonprofit Hearts of Hope. Chefs from across South Louisiana competed for the Best of Show $10,000, as well as gold medals in 11 different categories. Cypress Bayou Casino Executive Chef Scott McCue walked away with the Best of Show prize for his veal crepinette with truffled veal mousse.

The ladies who lunch gathered at The Hilton Ballroom March 4 for the annual Mad Hatters luncheon complete with a bevy of gals in beautiful hats and a style show full of spring's latest to benefit the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra. From springy hats like Sharon Moss's vibrant salmon to Larayn Guidroz's ebony choice, there was no shortage of variety in the crowd. And on the runway diverse offerings from the vibrant magenta of La Marquis to the muted neutrals of Renaissance Market's new Sympli line offered a little something for everyone.
