Acadiana 365’s Pick of the Day: Cajun Dance Lessons

Learn how to waltz properly the next time you hear Zydeco when Cité des Arts hosts Cajun Dancing Lessons Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Cité des Arts is giving the rhythmically-challenged a chance to learn the fundamentals of the traditional Cajun waltz as well as the two step, jig, jitterbug and more when it hosts Cajun Dancing Lessons Wednesday at 6 p.m.

The course is taught by veteran dance instructor Barbara Broussard, who utilizes the unique mixture of the various standards and styles from all over Acadiana that comprise traditional Cajun dance.

Cajun Dancing Lessons with Barbara Broussard begins on Wednesday, April 3, from 6-7:30 p.m., and will continue every Wednesday night throughout April at Cité des Arts. Cost of the lessons is $60 per person. For more information visit CitédesArts.org, call 257-0801 or email [email protected].
