Are you ready for Fest fIND 2013?

by Walter Pierce

It's pretty simple: Find the IND staff member stationed at an appointed place downtown, tell them a code word and, bam!, win a back pack full of cool stuff.

Dovetailing with Festival International de Louisiane's annual scavenger hunt, IND Monthly's first-ever Fest fIND is a "Where's Waldo" game we will be playing with readers during the Thursday-Sunday of FIL.

Find the staff member in this cap, win some cool stuff!

It's pretty simple: Find the IND staff member stationed at an appointed place downtown, tell them a code word and, bam!, win a back pack full of cool stuff including gift certificates to downtown restaurants, Festival International merchandise, CDs and vouchers for adult beverages that can be redeemed immediately (or later, if you choose) at our office on Jefferson Street. You'll have six opportunities over four days to play.

Here are the times/locales where an IND Monthly staffer wearing the fest-funky-fuzzy cap pictured at left will be:

*7 p.m. Thursday, April 25 behind Scène Stabil Drill International (the big stage) at the corner of Garfield and Taylor streets during the opening ceremony

*6 p.m. Friday, April 26 at Scène Chevron Heritage during Brother Dege's performance

*1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the Popeyes Pavillon de Cuisine (Parc Sans Souci) during Caleb Elliott's performance

*5 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at the IND Monthly-sponsored "B & B tent" (breast and bottle) across from Scène Lafayette General Fais Do Do

*1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Scène TV5 Monde Lafayette (across the federal courthouse) during a performance by Niyaz

*5:15 p.m. Sunday, April 28 at Scène Lafayette General Fais Do Do with Li'l Nathan & The Zydeco Big Timers

We will be releasing the "code words" to win the goodies soon, so stay plugged in to theind.com and the IND Monthly Facebook page.
