On the Move: Paul Bako joins Coldwell Banker

by Leslie Turk

Retired pro baseball player launches new career at commercial brokerage firm.

Former major league baseball player Paul Bako has joined Coldwell Banker Pelican Commercial Real Estate.

A graduate of Lafayette High School and standout Ragin' Cajun catcher, Bako studied finance and business at UL before going on to play professional baseball for 16 years - 12 in the major leagues. Bako retired from baseball after reaching the 2009 World Series with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Prior to deciding to pursue a career as a Realtor at Coldwell Banker, the 12th largest commercial brokerage for the firm in the country, Bako served as branch marketing associate with Ahrens Investment Partners.

"While becoming an active real estate investor over the last couple of years, I have found my passion for commercial and investment real estate," Bako says in a prepared release. "I have gained a great deal of knowledge through my own investments and consider it a priceless opportunity to mentor, learn and consult with the area's best. As I move into this next career, it is my hope that I can help my clients fulfill their real estate needs with the same energy and commitment that I dedicated to the game."
