Fresh off its recent merger with the Acadiana Center for the Arts, the nonprofit arts present will bring a variety of performances including dance, chamber music and a Grammy-winning jazz master to the Heymann Performing Arts Center.
The Performing Arts Society of Acadiana has released a preview of its upcoming Main Stage Series held at the Heymann Performing Arts Center.
Fresh off its recent merger with the Acadiana Center for the Arts, the group announced the following (subject to change) performances for the 2013-14 season:
October: Get On the Good Foot, an Apollo Theater original dance work
November:S weet Plaintain, a string quartet revolutionizing chamber music
December: Danú, an Irish ensemble showing us how to celebrate Christmas the Irish way
January: The Broadway Boys infuse elements of pop, gospel, funk and jazz into Broadway standards.
February: Pat Metheny Unity Group, 20-time Grammy Award winning jazz master
