NEW ORLEANS (AP) - NASA officials are holding a ribbon cutting ceremony for a major new component in the construction of heavy-lift rockets for the nation's space program
It's called a vertical weld center -- a multi-story machine used to construct the new rockets.
Friday's ceremony at the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans also gives NASA and Boeing officials an opportunity to give the public an update on the construction program at the facility.
