Midsouth Bank Chief Operating Officer Jerry Reaux, an IND friend and longtime supporter of the arts in Acadiana, now has an indelible presence in the Acadiana Center for the Arts in the form of its newest gallery name - Vault: A Reaux Family Project.

Reaux is a founding member of The Independent Media Group and our former board chairman, so it's with well-deserved bias that we offer an attaboy for his underwriting of culture in the area. Reaux was also instrumental in the conversion of the First National Bank and former LBA Savings Bank buildings into the current AcA, and Reaux admits he has a "sentimental attachment" to the arts center.

Reaux's eponymous gallery space at the AcA will be used exclusively for Louisiana artists.
