"Epic RVs" episode highlights Lafayette ad execs' line of luxury equine motorcoaches. A new episode of "Epic RVs," which premiered at 8 p.m. Monday on Destination America, featured Equine Motorcoach, the all-in-one RV and horse transport co-founded by Calzone & Associates owner Julie Calzone.
This segment highlighted the first generation Equine Motorcoach that is the prototype for the transport company's current model. The segment was filmed a few weeks ago in the St. Louis, Mo., area, according to a press release.
Equine Motorcoach is an all-in-one RV and horse transport company that now manufactures its coaches in the U.S. The U.S. version features two to six-horse configurations with fully loaded amenities on the interior and exterior. The interior has a spacious full bath, complete kitchen and multiple sleeping accommodations. The horse transport area has air ride suspension, climate control and European slant load configuration to provide our horses the best possible ride.
Equine Motorcoach was born at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May 2006 when Carolyn Stinnett and Calzone made their second trip to the show, which is held on the grounds of Queen Elizabeth's Windsor Castle. The women got the idea after seeing a horse box at the show. Carolyn placed a phone call to her husband, Tom Stinnett, which started the dream that eventually became a reality.
The trio combined their expertise in the RV and horse industry with a high quality European product that was refined by Lehel Coach Builders in England as the first generation Equine Motorcoach. They are the company's principals and share the touring, designing, marketing and sales duties.
Tom Stinnett owns Stinnett RV, one of the nation's largest independent RV dealers. He is co-chair of the GoRVing national promotional campaign and sits on the board of directors of the RVDA, the U.S RV dealers association.
