Pack it up

Perfect pieces for summer now and school/work later

Having a child changes a lot of things. Namely my accessories (and other important life altering, earth shattering things but this isn't the place for those sorts of things) and mostly my handbags. Once a devotee of the giant handbag, I've learned to scale back and find myself looking most seriously at crossbody bags and even the occasional backpack. Apparently I'm not crazy, backpacks are cute again. I've got three exhibits as proof.

Let's start with the mother of them all - the Tory Burch over at kiki. In her signature blend of prep and trend, Burch brings it again with her beloved style in this backpack that will go easily for months from summer into fall.

For a price point that can't be beat at less than $50, I'm loving every color of these chic bags from Vanessa V. From the must have mint of the season to that lovely warm camel that will be great now and later, these are definitely the grown up version of our school day bags.

Another bag at a great price (around $50) is the lemony Baggu from Red Arrow Workshop. A marriage of function and fashion, their simple shapes and hues (they also have a great stripe) are made from recycled cotton canvas duck. Durable and cute? We'll pack that up and take it on the go.
