Lafayette's Blue Victory Holdings has announced the acquisition of YOBE, a Jacksonville, Fla.-based chain of frozen yogurt stores. The boutique private equity firm's founder, Seenu Kasturi, tells ABiz the deal worth $4.8 million includes three company-owned stores and an expanding galaxy of franchises nationwide. Katsuri says he hopes "to bring a couple of locations to Lafayette soon."

While based almost entirely in eastern and central Florida, YOBE has a scattering of franchises in coastal Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee with plans to expand into North Carolina, Kentucky, Texas, Oregon, New York and Virginia. The company's website indicates international expansion plans in the Caribbean, United Kingdom, China and the Middle East.
