The former Super Taco Buffet on Johnston Street has been razed. Originally a Western Sizzlin' Steak House, the building housed a number of failed buffet concepts over the years, and finally met its demise after a demolition crew got to work in late July.
The building is now leveled, but the future of the property remains unknown.
Located on the corner of Johnston Street and Rena Drive, the property was previously for sale by owner, but has since been listed with Hammy Davis of Coldwell Banker Pelican, according to Louisiana Commercial Database. The listing, priced as of Aug. 13 at $1.01 million, includes an acre of land sitting on two lots, 4401 and 4403 Johnston St.
