Business First Bank promoted Larry Lanclos to vice president. Lanclos joined Business First Bank in 2008 and has more than eight years of experience in commercial banking. An honor graduate of the MBA program at UL Lafayette and a current student at the LSU Graduate School of Banking, Lanclos has lived and worked in Lafayette for more than 20 years. He serves as treasurer of the Academy and Business and Finance Advisory Board for Acadiana High School, treasurer for the Sigma Nu Advisory Board and Vice President of the Beaver Club of Lafayette.

Dan Rogers was promoted to vice president of operations at Knight Oil Tools. Rogers focuses on profitable growth of all Knight Oil Tools U.S.A. product and service lines. He oversees all U.S. operations, ensuring efforts are unified and their synergies maximized within each region. Rogers previously was Knight's director of operations for the Gulf Coast region and quality control manager for Downhole Tubulars. He has worked for Knight Oil Tools for 18 years and has more than 30 years of oilfield experience. Before joining Knight Oil Tools, Rogers worked for Homco, Oilfield Rentals and Drilling Tools Inc.

Bill Fox, a member of the Progressive Acute Care corporate leadership team, was named CEO of Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia. Louisiana-based Progressive Acute Care recently purchased Dauterive Hospital. Fox replaces Gerald Fornoff, who has been serving as interim CEO and will stay on as a consultant to Progressive in several ventures and projects. Fox most recently was CEO of Oakdale Community Hospital in Oakdale, also a Progressive hospital. Fox comes to Dauterive Hospital following a health care career that spans more than three decades. He earned his BS in health care administration from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky., and his MS in health care administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

MidSouth Bank promoted Shelly Judice from universal banker to banking center manager. Judice is now running the day-to-day operations of the retail banking center at MidSouth's corporate headquarters on Versailles Boulevard in Lafayette. A Carencro native with more than 15 years of lending and bank management experience, Judice has been with MidSouth Bank since May 2012. She previously worked as an assistant manager at IberiaBank and branch manager at JP Morgan Chase.

Tyron Picard** was appointed to the board of directors of the Gulf of Mexico Foundation, which promotes conservation of the health and productivity of the Gulf of Mexico and its resources through education, public awareness, research and leadership programs. Picard is the founder and principal of The Picard Group, a state and federal governmental affairs and business consulting group, and serves as special counsel to the law firm of Roedel, Parsons, Koch, Blache, Balhoff & McCollister. He is on the board of the Council for A Better Louisiana and is past chair of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and a former board member of the Louisiana Board of Commerce and Industry. The Maurice native is a graduate of LSU and Tulane University School of Law.

Tony Carroll** was named VP and commercial loan officer by Farmers Merchants Bank. Carroll, a Lafayette native who graduated with a degree in finance from UL Lafayette, joins FM Bank after working six years as a commercial loan officer with Washington State Bank. Carroll is responsible for overseeing commercial loan operations in Lafayette, St. Landry and St. Martin parishes.

Global Data Systems announced that Scott Louviere was promoted to VP of operations as part of a major restructuring plan. He previously served as the director of operations for Global Network Services. The catalyst for the restructuring is the company's continued growth and expansion of datacenter, cloud and satellite communications services into domestic and international markets.
Also promoted were: Barry Bujol, to operations manager - field technician services. Bujol previously was communications service manager; Darrell Sittig, to director of field engineering and consulting services. Sittig previously was operations manager; and Phillip McKinney, to operations manager - energy field services. McKinney previously was VSAT service coordinator.

BBR Creative has expanded its account service department with the hire of Emily Burke as account service director. Burke will oversee daily activities and manage the long-term initiatives of BBR's account service team. Burke has served firms specializing in both print and digital mediums, and is experienced in the management of online marketing and digital projects as well as initiatives designed for traditional media. Prior to joining BBR, Burke founded bBOLD, an Atlanta-based niche-marketing agency that specialized in corporate community involvement.

Lafayette Regional Airport Deputy Director of Aviation Michael Burrows was elected president of the Louisiana Airport Managers and Associates. Over the next two years, Burrows will lead the organization in providing a forum for the exchange of management ideas between airport managers, promoting aviation and airport interests, fostering the development of education programs and scholarships for aviation students, and providing a strong, credible influence with the state legislative bodies on legislation concerning aviation and airports in Louisiana. Burrows served two years as a member-at-large and legislative liaison, after which he was elected vice president and legislative liaison for the past year. He has been deputy director of aviation at Lafayette Regional Airport since April 2008, after joining the airport as an operations specialist in 2002. He has a BS degree in aviation management from Louisiana Tech University and is a certified member of the American Association of Airport Executives. He is also a private pilot.

Kaitlin Gammill has been named office manager at Abell + Crozier + Davis Architects. A native of Alexandria who has been living in Lafayette for the past three years, Gammill has a BS degree in business administration from the LSU Alexandria campus.

Cheri Grant has joined Patterson State Bank as senior loan officer/loan originator. A New Orleans native, Grant has more than 14 years of mortgage, sales and marketing experience. She operates out of the bank's Lafayette and Metairie offices.

Pro-T has promoted Joe Bernard to VP of marketing. A Carencro native, Bernard worked on the sales side of the oil and gas industry for more than 30 years, with 18 of those at Pro-T. He is now responsible for marketing strategies and sales in Lafayette, New Orleans, Houston, and Dallas. Formed in 1980 in Morgan City, Pro-T offers filtration equipment and services including customized filtration units for offshore, land, barges, shelf and transition zones and equipment rentals. Pro-T's global headquarters is located Broussard.

Schumacher Group** has hired Jason Bradberry as corporate director of residency resources and Jesse Ohayon as senior VP of recruiting operations. Bradberry has more than 10 years of operations and recruiting experience in clinical research, bio-technology and pharmaceutical industries in the southeast as well as health care industries nationwide. He previously held the position of residency and fellowship outreach educational director for the central and west regions of Cogent HMG, where he developed nationwide internal and family medicine residency contracts and managed educational presentations for residency programs. Ohayon has more than 15 years of experience in talent acquisition, management and recruiting. He previously worked as VP of recruiting for Yoh Company, a division of Day and Zimmermann in Philadelphia that provides workforce solutions to health care, commercial and government fields. Before Yoh, Ohayon spent several years at Adecco, one of the world's largest recruitment companies, and as an operations manager for The Walt Disney Company where he oversaw talent acquisitions for 10 of its divisions.

UL Lafayette's School of Architecture and Design has named longtime faculty member Tom Sammons as its director. Sammons served as the school's interim director since June of 2012. A professor of architecture, Sammons has been director of the university's Community Design Workshop for 18 years. The CDW helps revitalize communities, with input from faculty members and design work by senior architecture students. Sammons is also chair of the UL Lafayette Campus Planning Committee and previously served as the school's graduate school coordinator. Sammons holds the Contractors' Educational Trust Fund/Board of Regents Support Fund Professor in Art and Architecture Chair. Gordon Brooks, dean of the College of the Arts, says Sammons was chosen after a national search "produced many top-notch candidates with impressive experiences and capabilities. After campus interviews, Tom Sammons was appointed because of his unique qualifications and leadership abilities." Brooks also notes that the architecture program is undergoing reaccreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board and that Sammons is a key figure in that effort. Sammons joined the university faculty in 1994.

Lafayette General Medical Center received the 2013 Women's Choice Award after having been voted one of America's Best Hospitals for Patient Experience by women for a second consecutive year. This distinction is the only award that identifies the country's best health care institutions based on patient satisfaction and what women say they want from a hospital. The criteria include quality physician communications, responsiveness of nurses and support staff, cleanliness and trusted referrals from other women.

Louisiana Extended Care Hospital of Lafayette** has earned "Quality Respiratory Care Recognition" from the American Association for Respiratory Care. Approximately 15 percent of the nation's hospitals have earned the designation, which denotes health care facilities that meet or exceed the national association's standards and guidelines for the delivery of respiratory care.

Women's & Children's Hospital, a campus of The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana, received additional national accreditation for its quality radiology services. The hospital volunteered to undergo a rigorous review by the American College of Radiology, which awarded it with a three-year accreditation for ultrasound services.
