Judge orders EBR sheriff to confiscate LSU records

by Leslie Turk

District Judge Janice Clark tells the sheriff to enforce her April 30 order and make public the records about the president's search from the LSU Board of Supervisors. The Advocate reports Tuesday morning that state District Judge Janice Clark has ordered the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office to confiscate records from LSU's recent president's search.

Clark on Tuesday also told the Sheriff's Office to enforce her April 30 order and make public the records from the LSU Board of Supervisors, the paper notes. LSU has refused to turn over the records because it is appealing the decision.

Clark warned the board Monday that failing to turn over the records could result in jail time. Already, fines of $500 a day have tallied to $60,000.
