Women Who Mean Biz

by Amanda Bedgood

These lunching ladies are less business, more fun when it comes to style

The ladies at Women Who Mean Business may be all biz, but their sartorial choices were anything but serious Wednesday. From vivid color to statement necklaces and sassy footwear, the ladies who rolled out for ABiz's annual luncheon to honor incredible women worked great style.

The queen maven of Maven, Christina Barbier, proved the peplum still has power with her flirty silhouette and snug reptile print skirt. Victoria Toups was a study in quirky style with her vivid pink dress, demure little skinny belt and cute booties. Topped with a contrasting statement necklace, she proved business and fun certainly mix.

Our own ladies of the IND were a vision in warm hues of red from Cherry Fisher May in a fresh little dress and great peep toes to Kari Walker in a flirty deep pink with statement necklace. IND Media's editorial director pulled off the color block in the best way with a blue on blue dress. She's pictured with her sister Sissy Belfour in a great statement necklace and timeless black dress along with the super fit Stephanie Morris (and one of this year's WWMB honorees) who was a bright spot in her warm draped dress.

Honoree Jennifer Jackson brought the black and white trend with a dress that had a great graphic stripe. Honoree Amy Jones roused us with her perfectly delivered speech while trailblazer Sister Betty Lyons reminded us of the power of one person to create a ripple in this world. We were feeling pretty inspired all the way around by the time the ladies all headed back to work.
