Bring on the funky

Retro prints and shapes for fall

I love a good retro ensemble. Include a pair of uber tall retro heels and I'm done for.
While its not a massive trend, that subtle nod to short trippy printed dresses and towering platforms weaves a subtle thread through much of what's hot right now. Bonus: these are looks that will continue killing it when other trends fade. And they can be used in combination with contrasting trends. (You how this IND Styler loves an unexpected combo.)
While chevron is a totally now thing, this dress has more of an old school Missoni vibe and shape that's flirty enough for night and demure enough for day. From Knotting Hill, it's a piece you can wear totally now with little camel booties or nude pumps with a little top knot. Or take it back in time with frosty lips and a messy beehive and these killer Floggs from Maven.
And now we can talk Flogg. The shoe brand has a super squishy (read ridiculously comfy mattress for those soles) bed with a shape that makes the tall heels truly wearable. Just yesterday the Maven gals styled them with a black leather vest and metallic copper pants with a moto vibe - giving an unexpected twist to a very rocker look.
