The ladies of the Junior League prepare for serious fashion

Over at IND Style we're still sated from our very own sartorial binge last week. But, come Friday the ladies of Junior League will roll out their annual Tinsel & Treasure Style Show and we'll be there with bells on.

The show sells out each year so while it's only Tuesday we suggest you give JLL a ring if you expect to snag one of the few spots left. This year promises to be bigger and better than ever - they've added tables to the Cajundome mammoth set up.

"And this year we're showcasing the past twenty years of Tinsel & Treasure chairs and honoring them. They'll be modeling looks from all the stores and jewelry from Lee Michaels," says style show chair Georgia Gates.

So, what can the beautiful redhead who herself models with panache promise?

"Absolutely the best year. By far. Hands down," she says.

A dozen stores round out the fashion fete including models from a local model search, professional models, volunteers and prominent Lafayette ladies like the ever-fashionable Sharon Moss. Each store has at least 20 looks and while we're not mathematicians over here at IND Style we know that means a lotto ladies on the runway and a diverse offering of style.

"Each store has their own theme," Georgia says.

And the finale? Well, let's just say Daisy Buchanan will be near at hand.  It's Gatsby, baby. And you know how we feel about the Gatbsy around here.
