Local line turns T-shirts chic

This week Hemline played host for the launch of Montgomery John's brainchild - monTEES. The Lafayette man at the helm of the work presented dozens of shirts that blend everyday cotton T-shirts with eclectic fabrics and quirky prints.

From tweed and rich fabrics with a metallic thread to fluttering silks, lux leather and gleaming futuristic fabrications, Montgomery brought a vibe unlike any we've seen when it comes to everyday wares. Katie Culbert rocked her monTEE with printed sleeves with a little black skirt and cute flats while Montgomery himself pulled out the green shirt with leopard sleeves. But, it was Hemline manager Stephanie Theriot that topped our list with her shining ruby red sleeves she paired with dark denim and a hefty dose of necklaces. Victoria Toups was darling in a T with Kelly green leather sleeves that was quirky but posh paired with yellow trousers. All proof that T-shirts can be quite chic.
