CARENCRO, La. (AP) - A Thibodaux company has been awarded a $1.1 million contract to improve drainage in Beau Bassin Coulee in the Carencro community.
The contract, awarded by the Army Corps of Engineers, went to Phylway Construction LLC.

A contract for phase 2 of the project is likely to be awarded in early 2014, the Army Corps says.
The full project will involve improvements to about 11,000 feet of Beau Bassin Coulee.
