It's not too surprising that within a few weeks of announcing its new publisher, another head at The Daily Advertiser, has, well, rolled.

According to a report in Wednesday's edition, the Gannett-owned TDA has announced the "resignation" of Karen Lincoln Michel, who came on as executive editor of TDA and the Opelousas Daily World in March 2012.

The report, which was coincidentally tucked away in the paper's inner-pages and not posted online, states that Lincoln Michel has submitted her resignation, effective Oct. 25.

Following a neatly crafted goodbye statement from Lincoln Michel, the article, which gives no reason for the departure, names Kristin Askelson as the interim director of content and head of the daily's newsroom.
