Lafayette insurance broker André Comeaux has announced he will seek the seat of term-limited state Rep. Joel Robideaux in an election that won't be held for another two years.
A graduate in mechanical engineering from UL Lafayette, active community member and married father of two daughters, Comeaux is a risk management consultant and business insurance broker for Regions Insurance, Inc. and serves as a senior vice president with the firm. Although the 2015 election will be his first time seeking office, Comeaux has participated in the past campaigns of Republican state Reps. Nancy Landry and Robideaux and was involved in the successful effort to establish LUS Fiber in 2005.
