CLASS ACT: Alex Cagnola

Congratulations to Alex Cagnola of Lafayette on his recent honor to serve as LSU's Homecoming king for 2013.

Congratulations to Alex Cagnola of Lafayette on his recent honor to serve as LSU's Homecoming king for 2013.

A 2009 graduate of St. Thomas More Catholic School, he is now a Senior at Louisiana State University majoring in Biological Engineering with a minor in Business Administration.  Alex serves as the vice president of administration for the LSU Greek board of directors and also on the President's student body advisory board.

In the past, he was philanthropy coordinator for a Habitat for Humanity project earlier this year and received the Golden Hammer award for outstanding volunteer work in 2012.  Alex is also a brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and also involved in the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society and was a College of Engineering Student Senator.

Alex is an Eagle Scout and has served on several mission trips to Mexico and Puerto Rico and served on a vast number of community volunteer projects in the Baton Rouge area while attending LSU.

After graduation, he plans to attend graduate school.
