Make plans to feel the heat at the Acadiana Mall.

According to KATC Weather, a cool front is expected to sweep across the area Wednesday evening - The chilly air will be perfect for eating chili at Frank's International second annual chili cook-off on Nov. 7.

From 11 a.m- 1 p.m., chili lovers (and those looking for a good way to keep warm) should head out to the parking lot of the Acadiana Mall to sample what's brewing. For only a $5 donation, it's the cheapest and most filling lunch in town that also benefits United Way of Acadiana.

Guests are also asked to bring non-perishable food donations in exchange for a chance to win a 70 quart K2 cooler - it's hunting and gift-giving season, so get on this opportunity to win big.

Look for the tents in the mall parking lot near Coyote Blues and Olive Garden, or just follow your nose to the smell of spice from the pots cooking for a cause.
