UL marketing students place at national competition

Two UL Lafayette Marketing students recently placed in a recent National Sales Challenge hosted by the Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales at William Patterson University in New Jersey. Megan Martin, a junior from New Iberia, and Michelle Menard, a senior from St. Martinville, placed third in the team challenge. Martin also received first place overall in the individual division and the Viewer's Choice Award from her peers and business representatives. The competition was comprised of students from 42 universities and over 60 representatives of business.

The sales challenge competition involved a mock sales call scenario with a business executive and also a job interview scenario where competitors had to state why he or she would be a good candidate for a job. Congratulations Megan and Michelle on your achievement and representing UL's B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration at a national level.
